The Skutt Envirovent2 is spring loaded to the floor to keep a consistent seal on the kiln slab as it bows slightly when heated. This adapter fits into any Skutt rolling stands, supported by the crossbars, and allows the spring loaded plenum cup to push against the plate instead of the floor. Of course the customer can only roll it so far when connected to the ducting, but at least they no longer need to crawl on the floor to reposition the cup every time they move it.
