Skutt Relay – Solid State for Firebox 8x4 LT, Firebox 8x6 LT, GlazeTech

Why do the Firebox 8x4LT, Firebox 8x6LT and GlazeTech use a different style of relay than most other kilns?

The lower amperage of the three models allow Skutt to use a Solid State Relay which has a loger lifespan than a mechanical relay.
