Skutt Fuse – .5 Amp for all KM Kilns

Because computer circuit boards are susceptible to damage by voltage surges, all computer controlled Skutt kilns have a .5 amp fuse to protect the electronics. Normally, you will see a very small, human hair, sized wire inside the small glass fuse. If you do not see a wire or you see a small burn mark you need to replace your fuse.

If your computer does not have a display, the first thing to check is the fuse.
